FIRST REHEARSAL REMINDER

SUNDAY 11^TH JUNE 7.30

HADLEY METHODIST

Many thanks to those who turned up on the 21^st May for our first look at the music and a general get together. An impressive sound was made considering we were not in the formal setting. Well done everyone. Our next two rehearsals are as follows:

11^th June HADLEY METHODIST CHURCH 7.30

14^th June KETLEY METHODIST CHURCH 7.45

We will again look at some of the main chorus numbers and also at some of the numbers involving 1^st 2^nd and 3^rd Class passengers. I’m going to try something new at rehearsals to help people learn the words……! Vocal books will be available for a deposit of £5 and I do urge you to have one or arrange to share with a friend. The CD offers 73 minutes of music, which is very helpful and will cost £1 from yours truly. I’ll take orders at the first rehearsal.

Auditions have recently taken place and seven new members have joined including Mark Parry and Brandon Corfield. Welcome back Robin Cooper who has been very busy with work commitments. I believe there are a few more chaps lurking in the wings, so to speak! Which leads me to: Yes you know what I’m going to say! GENTLEMEN WE NEED YOU! I know you are out there so please come onboard.

On a personal note, I took on the responsibilities of Membership Secretary when Christine resigned, just to help out. I could really do with passing this on to someone else as I have enough to do as MD! I have everything ready to pass on so please let me know if you can help.

Thanks to the members of TADLOP who helped in the recent concert version of ‘Pirates’. They helped to raise £500 for the Severn Hospice.
