Your 2023/24 Committee
The TADLOP Committee oversees the decisions that keep the society afloat. Elections take place at the AGM and all TADLOP members are entitled to vote for their representatives.
The committee for 2023/24 are looking forward to working together to ensure security in TADLOPs future to see us through another fabulous fifty years!
Sam joined TADLOP in 2016 and has been on committee since 2018. Her favourite productions to have been in were: Made in Dagenham and 9 to 5. Sam isn't the only Lampitt in TADLOP, as her husband and one of her daughters are also active members. Sam ensures everything is kept in line with the constitution and keeps the committee on track to meet their annual aims.
Alex joined TADLOP in 2015. He is a regular face with TADLOP on Tour and has played a number of lead roles. He also served as Assistant Director for the NODA Award nomimated 'Hunchback of Notre Dame' in 2022. His favourite role remains his first, Nathan Detroit in 'Guys and Dolls'. Alex is there to support the production team of the current production ensuring deadlines are met and the show schedule is kept on track.
Katie joined TADLOP in 2022 for 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' which is still her favourite show to date. Having never performed before, she was lucky enough to play Esmeralda alongside a super talented and welcoming cast, that inspired her to progress her musical theatre journey. Katie is involved heavily in the social media side of things, ensuring content is kept fresh and exciting. She also designs the show programmes, artwork and trailers.
Rich has been heavily involved with the society since his joining, onstage, on production teams, leading Tadlop on Tour, and on committee. As Publicity Manager his role supports the Marketing Manager by ensuring outreach into the community through radio interviews, newspaper articles, photoshoots and other events.
Phil joined TADLOP in 2022, not long after 'Guys and Dolls'. From then on, he has been focussed on the technical side of the performances TADLOP put on. Many may recognise him as part of the technical crew from Telford Theatre. When picking a favourite show, he would say '9 to 5' because it was so much fun, but 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' was more impressive (musically and technically) - so each on their own merits. Phil is essential in ensuring we have a rehearsal venue and a stage to perform on, as well as making sure everything is done legally.
Kitty joined TADLOP in 2021 at the start of 'The Addams Family'. Sadly, she was not able to join the show at the time so was welcomed into TADLOP on Tour instead! Her favourite show with TADLOP so far has been 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. The music and staging were just beautiful and so much fun to perform!
Nat joined TADLOP halfway through 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' in 2022, with his favourite role so far being Edward Hyde in our most recent production fo 'Jekyll & Hyde'. Prior to this, his experience was mostly in school productions, but he did pass his musical theatre diploma during lockdown. Nat is keen to reduce the charity's running costs and maximise profits to allow the charity to keep running in a sustainable manner.
Debra joined TADLOP in 2021 for ' The Addams Family' which remains her favourite show to date; as well as Wednesday, Djali the goat in 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' was also one of her favourite roles to perform. Prior to TADLOP, she graduated with a degree in musical theatre in 2015 and is very grateful to be performing again, having found a home in TADLOP after moving from Scotland to live here. Deb is the first point of contact for our new and current members and is in charge of organising socials outside of rehearsals.
Health and Safety Officer
Becky has been a member of TADLOP since 2012. Her favourite show over the last 10 years has been 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' for TADLOP's 50th anniversary, in which she performed alongside her Husband. As health and safety officer she will identify and manage risks in rehearsals and performances to ensure the safety of our members, property, and the public.
Adele joined us in 2019 for 'The Sound of Music' in which she played Maria, before then she studied at The Royal College of Music. Since joining, her favourite show has been '9 to 5'. She has seen how vital ticket sales are to keep TADLOP afloat, especially since the pandemic. In her role as ticket secretary she liaises with the theatre to ensure our performances are selling well, and manages ticket orders from our members. Her enthusiasm and creativity are great encouragement to push ticket sales and ensure our shows have the best audience possible!
Amy joined TADLOP in 2021 for 'The Addams Family' and was recently the Musical Director for TADLOP's 'Jekyll & Hyde'. As secretary Amy handles all correspondence to the main TADLOP email address and any post. She is the first point of communication for most queries, so it helps that she is friendly and approachable, and quick at finding out any required information!
Amelia joined TADLOP in 2019 playing the role of Sarah Brown in 'Guys and Dolls', however, so far her favourite show has been '9 to 5' where she played Violet Newstead. She represents all the current members of TADLOP and their interests, and by being available at rehearsals she will open communication between the membership and committee, and share their thoughts and feedback in committee meetings. Amelia is a font of knowledge and is great at supporting others in their roles on committee.
Rose has been a member of TADLOP for many years and knows the society better than anyone. She has performed on stage, stood on production teams, is a member of TADLOP on Tour and made many a costume for our shows. As president she is our representative at formal events, and presides over committee meetings to impart her experienced insight and knowledge. She is also a friendly face at rehearsals, and a listening ear should anyone need one.
